Greg Zinn-Wirtz

Zero To Hero 5K/10k Co-Director Greg Zinn-Wirtz:

I moved to the La Crosse area for college and liked the area so much that I stayed. I ran track in high school as well as off and on over the course of my life-more off than on! I got back into it to try to stay in shape and lose weight. I’ve done a couple of 5k and 5 mile runs, which is where I’m most comfortable. I have started stepping outside of my comfort zone and done the Great River Ragnar, the Goosebumps 24-hour run, Relay Iowa, and a couple half marathons. I’ll never be a fast runner, but I’ll get there eventually and I’m good with that.

If I’m not working or running, the most likely place to find me is the volleyball court-competitive or just for fun-pretty much year-round! I also love reading, ice cream (see the earlier statement about losing weight), and keeping up with certain trashy reality show families.

I have been one of the “water gods” for the half-marathon training class for several seasons now and I’m excited to continue the journey of coaching and helping others achieve their goals! I’m very much looking forward to taking a walk/jog/run with everyone.
